Location: Remote (US-based)
Contract: 3 months, 20–40 hrs/week, potential conversion to full-time
Compensation: $150–$225/hour, depending on experience
Role Overview
Protect Democracy is seeking experienced Data Engineers to support large-scale data pipelines and analytics systems. This is a contract role with strong potential to transition to full-time employment for candidates interested in long-term mission-driven work.
Key Work (Summary)

Architect and deploy production-grade ETL pipelines in Python.

Write clean, maintainable, scalable data processing code.

Develop automated testing suites and maintain documentation.

Design and optimize data models with Postgres / SQL.
Ideal Candidate

8+ years software/data engineering experience.

Strong portfolio or examples of large-scale data pipeline work.
